The Naniwa Chosera stones are premium level stones highly regarded for their exceptional feedback and fast action. They offer a range of hardness options among different grits, allowing them to be effectively used on both harder and softer steels. The stones have a high grit density, ensuring optimal sharpening performance. With a thickness of 5mm, they are specifically cut to fit Wicked Edge paddles, making them compatible with any Wicked Edge sharpening system.

When not in use, the stones can be conveniently stored in the provided plastic blister pack. It is important to soak the Chosera stones in water before use to achieve the best results. We also recommend using a water spray bottle to mist the stones while sharpening to keep them properly lubricated.

The coarse grit stones are designed for aggressive stock removal, repairs, and (re)profiling. They are also highly effective at removing deep scratches from diamond plates. The #400 Chosera stone is solid, hard, and aggressive, offering long-lasting performance. The #600 Chosera stone is softer and provides a sensational, "buttery" feedback, excelling on harder steels. Please choose your preferred grit from the available options. The #800 Chosera stone, while still classified as coarse, can deliver a good basic working edge when used with mud, making it a versatile workhorse.

The medium grit stones refine the edges on most tools and knives to working sharp levels. They are ideal for quick maintenance on dull knives and can also perform minor repair and profiling work. These stones serve as a crucial stage before transitioning to fine grit polishing stones. The #1,000 Chosera stone is highly regarded as one of the best stones in the series, offering aggressive performance while leaving a slightly more refined edge compared to other 1K stones. The #2,000 grit Chosera stone is softer and produces an excellent edge on softer steel knives (HRC~55 and below), especially when combined with the #800 Chosera stone. The #3,000 stone is harder and perfect for achieving a working edge on high-quality knives and preparing the edge for the polishing stages.

The fine grit stones take the edge to a whole new level, making cutting effortless. The #5,000 Chosera stone is softer and provides wonderful feedback. It produces a mirror finish that enhances the edge's performance. To achieve optimal results, it is highly recommended to use the #5,000 stone before progressing to the #10,000 Chosera stone. The #10,000 stone further refines the mirror finish and achieves "shaving sharp" levels of sharpness.
